PART 3
The Cloud Maze
The third stage of the journey leads the adventurers into a massive labyrinth made entirely of clouds. This ethereal maze, stretching beyond the horizon, consists of dense layers of impenetrable clouds that cannot be crossed or altered by any magic. The only path to the exit is hidden among the endless cloud formations, making it a true challenge to find.
Within the labyrinth, the adventurers encounter a series of objects that appear to have been brought from the world of the living. Each of these items, charged with a subtle and alluring energy, emits a seductive glow that invites the players to consume or use what they hold. However, this desire to claim material possessions is a trap. The true test within the labyrinth is detachment from earthly belongings, and succumbing to temptation corrupts the soul, diverting it from its purpose.
As they explore, the heroes also come across lost souls who failed to escape the labyrinth. These wandering souls drift aimlessly, trapped in an endless cycle of fruitless searching. Their presence serves as a constant reminder of the difficulty of the trial and the importance of staying focused on the goal.
At the heart of the labyrinth stands an imposing statue of an angel, a giant of celestial light representing authority and justice within this ethereal realm. This angel not only oversees the rules of the labyrinth but also offers guidance to those who manage to reach it. The mere act of finding the statue is a sign that the adventurers are halfway through the trial, a significant achievement in their spiritual journey.
The angel guides the players with words of wisdom and warnings about the remaining challenges, helping them understand the significance of the trial and how to overcome the temptations they face. With the angel's assistance and their growing understanding of detachment, the adventurers must find their way to the labyrinth's exit, overcoming the trials of material attachment and remaining true to their mission.
