Description
This bundle pack includes grid and gridless 40 x 40 maps with day, night, abandoned and sepia variants. You can grab an animated version here. In the heart of the mountain, the heat and fumes from this ancient but very much operational Dwarven gold mine can be felt before seen. From the furnace at the centre, the gold is melted down and fed along chutes into other areas in the mine, this network of mines lit by braziers connected by track lines and corridors between which the mined rock and crystals are transported. Cranes lift a myriad of crates amongst debris, the busy miners not particularly concerned about maintaining a tidy workspace. A wall separates the mine from the precipice below which falls deep into darkness.
Encounter Hook
Interrupting miners in the midst of their work is dangerous at the best of times, but this time, the miners are on a particularly tight deadline, commanded and under the thrall of by a dark force to complete their smelting and melting for a purpose unknown. And so, if the party enters this mine perhaps en route towards its destination elsewhere or whilst on the hunt for something or someone, the miners may fight in desperation to ensure all gold is accounted for and that their work continues without such interruption, no matter whether they might otherwise have simply let the party pass through without comment.
