Hi everyone, and welcome to my Lost Temple Part III map release! This is part of a three-part multi-dungeon which involves your players ascending a lost and ancient temple built directly into the mountain. The intended grid size for this map is 30x40.
You can find the other maps in this set here:
Part 1
Part 2
Due to your party's keen problem-solving skills, they were able to ascend up through the massive hole in the ceiling of part 2 of this map and find themselves in the final chamber of this lost and ancient temple. Greeted by an old bridge with a misty chasm below, they must find a way forward to the tiled floor of this mysterious place. Strang and alien architecture hints at the former civilization who built this temple as they climb the looming flight of stairs to the central ritual chamber. There, they are greeted with a massive circular stone structure used for unknown rituals. Perhaps it creates a portal to another dimension when activated? On either side of the chamber, six leering stone statues seem to follow the player's movements with empty eyes. Let's hope these are not silent sentinels guarding this ancient place.
I've created a version of this map with the bridge, stone gateway, and back of the chamber broken to create a more dynamic and ruined feeling of this temple. Perhaps after they obtain their objective, the temple begins to crumble, and they must find their way out through a narrow passage in the north.
This map is chock-full of areas for you to create all sorts of encounters and dangers, including monsters, puzzles, traps, and hidden mysteries.
The temple is yours to fill out as you see fit! Good luck, Dungeon Master, and may your players survive the challenges of The Lost Temple.
I've created 8 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. All variants below come with normal and broken versions along with torches, lit, and unlit versions. The variants included in this pack are:
