Ominous Overlays to add mood, dread, despair, dusk, doom, and eldritch delight to your gaming setting. Intense weather and fantasy happenstance! Rain, snow, fog, hail, rain of fire, rain of blood, peasouper, poison, blue electric, and blood red fire magic, night and bright light mood lighting, heatwave, swamp gas, dust storm, acid cloud, fire storm, fire tornado, lighning tornado, twister with cow, electric storm, smoke, ash, and black birds all available in this set to be added to your game.
All pieces are non-animated. Use these simple weather mood add-ons for your static maps. Add lighting, shadows, and energetic cyclones. Some cover the whole map and others are independent elements which you can add to a select area of the map without edges showing. Clouds of poison gas, etc. Those could be used for a trap going off!
The rain and snow elements stand out best over dark maps, or, put the night vignette on, and then add the rain on top.
Some elements are squares fixed to cover the default Roll20 map. Other elements are stand-alone happenings with a masked edge and do not cover entire battlemaps, such as the cyclone / twister / tornado elements which can be sized as you see fit. Create mood in as many squares as you see fit. Downsize to cover single squares for a magic caster, or sized over several squares to show an area of effect, such as a poison gas cloud or irradiated heat wave. Stack as many as you would like for an energetic new mood.
