Ice Caves

Hi everyone, and welcome to my Ice Caves map release! These 50x40 ice cave maps feature two different interior cave maps set in a frozen mountain. The first map includes an entry and exit on either side, which you can use to connect to other cave maps or an exterior location like my Trecherous Mountain path map! It includes a frozen "lake" section and two elevated portions of the map, one of which has the exit / entrance, and the other features a cavern which would be perfect for a monster lair.

The second map features an icy tunnel lined with jagged ice spikes leading to a larger portion with ice crystals and plenty of alcoves for monsters to lurk behind. On the floor is a borehole caved through the rock and ice, leading to utter darkness. What creature could burrow through such strong material? Or maybe this was an old expedition site where the explorers descended into the icy depths below, never to be heard of again?

Variants

I've created 6 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. Each variant contains various weather effects, such as fog and sun rays, where appropriate. The variants included in this pack are:

Dark Fairytale: This variant evokes a playful yet creepy atmosphere, with deep, darkened hues that bring out the rich colors of the map.
Chilly Day: A brighter version, focusing on a sunny and vibrant aesthetic for a rare break in the cloud cover above.
Ghostly: Bathed in an eerie green glow, this variant creates a haunted and spectral ambiance.
Gloom: This version tones down the map's colors, deepening the shadows to evoke a somber and moody environment.
Frozen: A chilling and frozen feel, creating an icy and unforgiving feel.
Night: Illuminated by silvery moonlight, this version creates a serene yet mysterious nighttime setting.
