Near the slopes of a mountain, rising imperially from the edge of an ancient forest stands the Elderheart Oak, a towering, timeworn giant whose presence has shaped the land around it for centuries. Its wide boughs stretch far overhead, forming a quiet green canopy that filters the sunlight into soft, shifting patterns across the mossy ground.
As one might imagine, the great Oak has been the center of local druidic covens, religious orders, and practitioners of sacred natural arts. The Elves of the woods have placed it under their protection, as they deem it too important to be left to the care of the ephemeral races. The older ones amongst them even remember when it was planted, by who, and for what purpose, although such arcane knowledge is not given out light-heartedly. However, be weary adventurers. Even where serene nature reigns, conflict is but a whisper, a lie, or an insult away.
