The Cathedral of Barwent is the largest holy house in Daireen, dedicated to the Gods of seafaring, rivers and bridges and is named after St. Barwent. Barwent the Builder was a skilled engineer who designed the bridges spanning the river and played an important role in the design of the city in its early days. It is said that he blessed the bridges, ensuring they will never collapse. Later, Barwent the Builder became the patron saint of The Merchants' Guild and to this day Barwent is honored and clebrated at the start of the trading season.
