Mourninghold - The Broken Pillar

Hi everyone, and welcome to my Mourninghold - The Broken Pillar map release! This 30x40 map features the shattered remains of one of the massive pillars that support the Mourninghold Cathedral above it. Deep underground, this ancient cathedral was built by an unknown entity but is now overrun with horrible beasts. In the network of caverns and caves under the cathedral, the buildings are supported by pillars that ascend so far up toward the cavern ceiling they disappear into the darkness. This is a great "last stand" map where your heroes can fight off wave after wave of beasts!

Variants

I've created 7 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. Six of the color moods have a "no light" version without the cavern light. The variants included in this pack are:

Dark Fairytale: This version has a playful yet creepy feel to it, focusing on darkening up the map while bringing out the deep colors.
Azure: A brighter version with light blue tones creates a sense of soft morning light pouring in.
Ghostly: An eerie green glow creates a haunted and ghostly feeling.
Gloom: This version focuses on toning down the map's colors and deepening the shadows.
Warm: This version is a good mix of light and warmth and focuses on the vibrancy of the colors used.
Night: The silvery moonlight twinkles over this map, creating a dark moonlight feel.
Verdant: For a more overgrown and wild feeling, this variant focuses on the greenery and vibrancy of the surrounding area.
