Old Catacomb Dungeon

Hi everyone, and welcome to my Old Catacomb Dungeon map release! This 30x40 map features two distinct sections of an underground catacomb that promises thrills and challenges for intrepid adventurers.

The initial segment, relatively newer in construction, has suffered from perilous chasms. The ground has given way, causing stonework and even sarcophagi to plummet into the newly formed hole. The deteriorating walls at the rear expose a more ancient catacomb, crafted centuries ago from earthen materials. Within the carved recesses of this archaic labyrinth rest dusty remains and long-forgotten souls, offering a haunting glimpse into the past.

As you delve further, the catacomb unfolds into a grand crypt chamber and an ossuary adorned with faded paintings depicting macabre scenes. A concealed door at the rear of the ossuary beckons exploration, leading to a sprawling cavern and an aged stone and wooden door. Behind this portal lies a chamber harboring a malevolent force.

The question now hangs in the air: will your daring adventurers unravel the long-lost secrets concealed within these hallowed walls, or will they succumb to the perils posed by traps and the undead denizens that haunt this ancient sanctuary? The stage is set, and the answers lie within the shadows of the Old Catacomb Dungeon. Embark on this journey at your own risk, and may fortune favor the bold!

Variants

I've created 8 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. All versions come with and without lights, so you have more flexibility when running this map. The variants included in this pack are:

Dark Fairytale: This version has a playful yet creepy feel to it.
Dark Academy: A darker version of the map focusing on deep shadows and a foreboding tone.
Ghostly: An eerie green glow creates a haunted and ghostly feeling.
Gloom: This version focuses on toning down the map's colors and deepening the shadows.
Banshee: A cool yet dark and haunting version. Perfect for the wandering souls of the damned.
Warm: This version is a good mix of light and warmth and focuses on the vibrancy of the colors used.
Night: Though inside, this variant gives the same blueish dark night feeling of wandering an ill-lit catacomb.
Verdant: For a more overgrown and wild feeling, this variant focuses on bringing out the earthen and natural feel of the rock and sand.
