Road to the Misty Realm

Hi everyone, and welcome to my Road to the Misty Realm map release! This 40x30 map was inspired by a very popular campaign setting and is perfect for your dark fantasy games. It features a winding road cutting through a dense forest with rocky hills looming on either side. As your party approaches the old and ancient gate, they see two massive statues of knights, both with their heads fallen off and lying on the floor at their feet. The crumbling walls are adorned with gothic architecture and a massive set of rusty iron gates blocking the path.

I've created 8 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. Additionally, each variant also has a "no trees" version to help with token placement and visibility. The variants included in this pack are:

Variants

Dark Fairytale: This version has a playful yet creepy feel to it. Perfect for any dark fantasy themes. This variant comes with and without fog/trees.
Sunny Day: A brighter version of the map focusing on a sunny and vibrant feeling. This variant comes both with and without sun rays/trees.
Ghostly: An eerie green glow creates a haunted and ghostly feeling, perfect for any Dark Fantasy campaign. This variant comes with and without fog/trees.
Gloom: This version focuses on toning down the map's colors and deepening the shadows. Perfect for any dark fantasy encounter! This variant comes with and without fog/trees.
Overcast: A darker version of this map gives the feeling of thundering rain clouds above. This variant comes with and without rain/trees.
Warm: This version is a good mix of light and warmth and focuses on the vibrancy of the colors used. This variant comes with and without trees.
Night: The silvery moonlight twinkles over the town as flickering candles and lanterns illuminate the gate. This variant comes with and without fog/lights/trees.
Dry: A hot and dead variant gives the feeling of a hot, dry day as the dead grass remains motionless with the lack of wind. This variant comes with and without sun rays/trees.
