Swamp Village

Hi everyone, and welcome to my Swamp Village map release!

This 40x40 map features a village built upon a putrid swamp. Overlooking the village on the central island is a massive throne where the leader resides and judges all who are brought before them. Surrounding the throne are 11 various huts and 2 watch towers where the villages live, work, and defend themselves. Hunters, seers, guards, tanners, scrimshanders, and even a tadpole breeder can be found in all of the interior locations!

This map contains two versions of each variant featuring both an exterior and an interior version. Perfect to create multi-sided tokens for and toggle between each variant and/or interior/exterior.

I've created 10 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. The variants included in this pack are:

Variants

Blood: The swamp runs red with the blood of their enemies! This gruesome scene will surely cause fear in even the bravest of heroes!
Ghostly: I've added a ghostly green to this map creating a dark and haunting mood.
Ghostly / Greenfire: Same as the ghostly version but with added green flames for a truly necromantic feel!
Gloom: Dark shadows, almost black water, and a gloomy mood is perfect for your Dark Fantasy games.
Murky: The murky water below hides many secrets of the swamp. The mud and water make for a perfectly natural defense against any invaders!
Natural: A lighter tone focusing on the greens and browns of the water and mud.
Night: The flickering torchlight illuminates this otherwise dark village. As fire lines the bridge, you can see the looming throne overlooking all.
Rain: What makes a romp through the swamp worse? A pouring, humid rain! Drench your players and reduce visibility with this rainy version.
Swamp Gas: More focus on the green of the swamp as poisonous gases silently float across the water.
Witch Swamp: An eerie magic permeates around this village. Perhaps their leader is not a warrior but a fearsome swamp witch who uses the village's denizens as their thralls!
