"They say Captain Ruthan of the Emissary wanted nothing more than to sail the skies, and so he struck a bargain with the witch Rosina of the Whispering Moors. Her sweet promises of 'sailing where none have sailed before' were honey in his ear, and so he painted his ship with a foul green substance of hers, and replaced the wheel with one of hawthorn and mangrove, runes carved deep into its surface. By the time her chanting faded to wicked laughter, it was too late – the enchantress had condemned the crew to live out their days on a cavern lake, never seeing the skies again."
The Underground Lake set provides 14 maps (plus 2 isometric ones), including Lava, Frozen, and Empty, as well as a trapped ship, a sunken ship, a variation with a cave mouth leading out, and several more. A pair of PNG tokens are included as well, to spruce up the place. Pirate cinema fans might recognize a scene from Goonies, and the Smugglers' Den draws inspiration from Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. But I drew the main concept for my OSR/5e RPG Pirate Borg (headed off to the printers!), as an isometric map, the lowest level of a three-level dungeon called The Temple of the Nameless One. So I've included that version here, along with the usual, top-down perspective maps.
