The old 'Deep Roads' meet at this plaza where they are overlooked by the Keep of the Deep Warden.
The Warden's forces patrol the roads and take a tithe from any travellers in this realm, which leads to tales of a vault within the Warden's Keep that holds vast wealth.
A vault, that if rumours you've heard are true has a possible weak spot. The story goes that a prisoner dropped through the grate in the courtyard escaped the hungry monsters kept there and made it to safety after a heroic leap across the lava moat.
This lucky soul tells of an exposed wall in those tunnels that could only be the vault, and if the monsters could be dealt with then a few well-placed blows from a mining pick would lead to the vaults treasures!
