A coastal inlet-type area with little islands and several settlement areas tucked into the space between the rocky hills
This settlement map was drawn as a settlement-scale extension of the area around my recent battle map Zipline Canyon.
There are variations both with and without the ziplines, as well as a sky/floating and space islands versions so that it can be used with any of the Zipline Canyon variations... or by itself... whatever you wish really :-)
There is also an 'Old Map' variation that would be fun as a handout map or to set a different atmosphere...
Ziplines: These are the black lines crossing all over the map. The 'top' or high end is always a single dot. The lower end is always a 'y' shape with 2 dots.
All maps variations are 5400 × 3900 pixels - which is equivalent to 18x13 @ 300dpi, so you could download these and print them out, or use them online and have plenty of zoom-ability to see the details.
_If you want to try to use it as a XL battlemap, you would need to zoom quite a lot (and possibly make your PC tokens smaller), depending on how big you want the buildings to appear. It would be usable, but perhaps a bit fuzzy or pixalated.
Note that the 'Zipline Canyon' part of the map is approximately equivalent to 60x90 'squares' - which is the half-grid-size version of the battlemap
