The great city of Myrillium stands as a shining bastion of order and civilization, but under its cobbled streets, a terrible evil festers. Beneath the twisting warrens of its labyrinthine sewer system, amidst the shattered remains of Old Myrillium, an infestation of vicious ratfolk has grown unseen. These putrid creatures have bickered and battled one another for decades, but now, at the behest of their pestilent god, they have arisen to the surface to strike at Myrillium, terrorizing its streets and dragging many of its citizens down into the depths below.
One of their victims is the son of Duke Arnulf Sollunder, who stands among the wealthiest and most powerful figures in the city, and who would offer a handsome reward to a band of adventurers brave enough to delve down into the sewers and rescue his only heir…
Verminhorde can be run as a single adventure, or Part I in the Hoard of Ghaundal campaign, an overarching story-arc that spans across 6 smaller adventures.
