The Sakthelim Desert is a perilous place. You might think that the dust, dryness, and scorching heat would make for horrible living conditions, yet there are still creatures that call it their home. Most creatures need water to survive, and in the desert, water is more valuable than gold.
There are few places in the burning wastelands that offer water. But those that exist are of immense significance for the caravan trade routes. One of those places is Talshari, a small settlement at an Oasis. Its fresh water wells are life-giving, and some claim that drinking the water brings good fortune. Desert travelers have been using Talshari as a midway resting point for centuries.
In the last few days, travelers have returned from the desert with worrying news. Two weeks ago, the water in the oasis started draining, and strange creatures have been spotted at night. A young Fire Genasi woman named Nazari, has been sent to hire adventurers that will investigate the site.
The Talshari Inn is located at an oasis in the Sakthelim desert. Thousands of travelers pass by every year. Recently the water of the oasis has been draining. The proprietor of the inn offers a reward to anyone that can find the cause of this potential disaster.
