An Epic Adventure Module for Busy Groups. Part 1.

Let's say that life is preventing you from meeting up to play DnD on the regular. Perhaps you get to play once a month, or perhaps you only have 3 weeks in the year this summer to play D&D. Well this adventure is perfect for you !

It includes a system of fast levelling and intense emotional punches to compress the experience of a full campaign in only 4 sessions of 3-5 hours each.

This story is written as a tragedy, to amplify the emotional impact, and the players will play at level 11 and level quickly following this scheme:

This allows to play with some fairly high level abilities, and still view character progression every single game, to add to the enjoyment of the experience. It is also not so high level that players can completely derail the game.

This is the first part of the adventure, where you get to enjoy the first 2 sessions of the adventure. This will give you a good bit of fun and a good grasp of the chaos that is to come.

Plot Hook

The heroes herald from the land of Bricia (or whatever land your world has). Back home a war that has lasted for centuries is raging, shattering the continent. The violent abuse of magic and weapons has destroyed the lands, rendering most of them sterile. Starvation, pain and death is the only future that await the Brician folks. Yet all is not grim and a glimmer of hope remains still.

The main government has secretly financed expeditions, in the hopes of finding new land, where the populace could survive. One such expedition was a success, uncharted territory was discovered, but has yet to be explored. The heroes have been selected to explore that land, they are old war heroes, retired soldiers, or hopeful souls. No matter their background, they have one thing in common: the fate of their kin resting on their shoulders.

Summary

Upon traveling the ocean and setting foot on Land, the heroes will quickly realize that something is amiss. Magic doesn't function properly here, at night deadly creatures come out seeking blood. Deeper within the land a colony of forsaken dragonborns dwell, their houses built within the remains of an ancient Giant civilization. A growing threat is hidden deep within the earth, threatening to destroy the island.

Navigate this intricate web and survive, and your families and loved ones will thrive, fail to do so, and all those that you know and love will perish.

See you on the other side for an adventure that will take you through exploration, puzzles, dungeon crawl, social encounters and one Epic Showdown of a boss fight.
