Lothburgh is more than just a city; it’s a stage. Here, you can play out any number of adventures, intrigues, and plots. While Lothburgh welcomes any story, its heart beats to the rhythms of steampunk, neo-noir, horror, and mystery—the genres that inspired its creation. Lothburgh is a massive city in the throes of industrialization. Unlike our real world, however, Lothburgh’s era of mechanization also involves a smattering of magic. This mixture of the arcane and the scientific has altered the course of the city’s development from what you might expect, given the history of our own world. For example, electricity is widely used, but much less understood; magic binds it to our will, rather than science. Additionally, mechanical automatons are commonplace, operated by a mixture of clockwork gears and mystical energies. This addition of the arcane has also made Lothburgh’s industrialization far more rapid than what our world experienced. With that progress comes setbacks and strife, and it is these hardships that form the wellspring of Lothburgh’s stories. Class warfare, late stage capitalism, and the unending clash between tradition and progress weave the fabric of the city’s narrative. Unlike some other fictional cities, Lothburgh does not belong to any singular world. It stands alone, with no county, country, or continent to call its own. This book defines only Lothburgh’s sprawling urban wilderness; what lies beyond the city’s borders is up to your imagination, and we shall not burden you with any restrictions or recommendations for such far-flung locales.
These maps represent my collection of maps I've made for this setting (Which is still under development by creator Lunch Break Heroes). They are a perfect collection if you're looking for Victorian-style maps for your own setting or just looking for something different from the Medieval Fantasy genre.
I will continue to add to this bundle as I further expand on the world of Lothburgh, so I invite you to check back regularly on this bundle!
