Hofenkeep is a castle town and capital of the Barony of Ordal. It lies a long days travel away from Hofendal and is usually granted to the king’s heir as they come of age. The last baron of Ordal was Prince Goedling, but the castle has been empty after the prince died in the War of the Vale. There are many rumors going about suggestion what the future of Hofenkeep will be.
The lady of Fing is Countess Darmaya of the Golban, a stout woman who takes her duties rather serious. Few people have seen the lady smile and some even go as far as to say she can’t. It is believed that she once ventured too deep into the Hofen Forest and made a bad deal with a faerie spirit. The faerie took her ability to smile until she found “true joy”.
Located in the Great Vale, less than a days travel from Derwon Castle is Derbot Castle. A large fortification build on a tall island. The castle is surrounded by steep cliffs and near impenetrable.
Mystdal is a small castle in northern Sovar. It is build around an old chapel, repurposed as the keep and surrounded by a moat. Sneaking in and out may be difficult, but surely someone will be able to...
In the old days, when the Geat Vale was still united under the independent Duchy of the Vale. Derwon became the capital of the duchy and the Duke built his keep on a hill in the center of the Vale. Since then the Duchy of the Vale has been split in two and the two parts have become parts of the Kingdoms of Rasfadal and Burbry
The kings of Burbry care about appearances more than anything else. Everything they do they do to maintain an image of power, wealth and splendor. They consider themselves to be higher and more noble than any other king.
Atop a high cliff, overlooking the city below is Twyrif castle. It is home to Duke Deiniol of Arnallan. While Deiniol is but a Duke, he acts as king in his own domain. He holds lavish feasts, and his court is all about appearance.
