Digging for gold ... they dug too deep ... and unleashed a dragon.
A story adventure map pack. Your players can visit the mine early in their adventure - perhaps it is taken over by kobolds who are furiously (and mysteriously) digging in the mine and the adventurers have to clear the mine entrance and the mine tunnels of the kobold infestation and return the mine to the rightful owners ... then a month passes and all seems normal until a dragon is unleashed and the adventurers must return to the now ruined mine to slay the dragon.
This is an awesome adventure map pack of 16 hand drawn maps including the mine entrance compound (variants include before and after the dragon is released with seasonal options) and the huge mine complex itself (70x50 squares) - with variants of before and after the dragon is unleashed. These maps are ready to slot in to a full adventure setting or perhaps you need a one-shot dragon slaying evening!
This set includes:
- The Mine Entrance (40×28) - Setting the scene outside the mine with seasonal variants before the dragon is unleashed and the destruction around the entrance after the dragon is released.
- Inside the Mine (70x50) - A huge mine complex ready to be populated with villains! Perhaps groups of kobolds, goblins and chained, enslaved ogres are digging to try to release the dragon - they will all need to be destroyed!
- Inside the Mine after the dragon is unleashed (70x50) - the dragon has been unleashed from the inner diggings of the mine, wreaking havoc on the mine and drawing a river of lava to its lair.
I have used these maps in a planned adventure as part of a campaign story - players helped the mine owners to rid the mine of the goblins and kobolds only to be drawn back later in the campaign to find out the real reason the kobolds were digging with the release of the dragon!
