The Into The Wilds Desert 01 Map Bundle contains Day, Night, Sandstorm & Unfurnished variants of 9 different Desert themed maps, a total of 40 new maps for your campaign in gridded and gridless format! These maps are intended to be more generic than my regular sets and are perfect to drop in for random encounters when on the road or for when the party takes an unexpected turn and you want to be prepared!
This Bundle Includes:
Arid Sands - Hours turn into days as you trudge through the dry desert, everything looks the same and you have no idea if you are making progress or walking in circles. Even the rocks are starting to look delicious.
Dunes - The winds that cause the deadly sandstorms carve out ever changing patterns in the sand. If you watch long enough, it almost seems alive as the waves move across the horizon. At night you can even hear them.
Oasis - Finally! Water. But wait....no, probably just a mirage. Even if it isn't, there's likely to be other creatures lurking nearby.
Canyon Crossing - The chasm splits the great desert in two, a divide between the civilised nations to the south and the raiders in the north. There are few places where the gap closes enough to cross, and where it does you are likely to find someone or something guarding the crossing place.
Mesa - A lone flat topped hill surveys the sands from horizon to horizon, but there is nothing else in sight. A feeling of despair creeps in as you consider that this may be your final resting place, with no sign of civilisation or rescue. That is until you find a small offering of freshly cut flowers placed at the base of one of the protruding rocks.
Boneyard - Bones of enormous desert dwelling creatures are scattered across the summit, but many of them seem far too large to have made the climb up the narrow cliff path. Did someone bring them here, or did they seek out this place when they felt their life coming to an end?
Sandworm Nest - Every now and then as you walk through the heat, you might notice an odd pile of sand that seems somehow out of place. After an hour or two the piles become more and more prevalent, until suddenly you come across a huge mound riddled with holes at least 5ft wide. What creature could have made such a thing? Are you really going to wait to find out?
Cliff Face - Fleeing from danger, you find yourselves trapped, backed into a corner with the sand swirling around you. Enemies behind and a treacherous climb ahead. Which do you choose? Act quickly or the choice may be made for you.
Look out for my asset packs to help reimagine the settings to suit your own needs!
