Forest Village Heart Tree
50x40 with 4 levels
Every giant tree village needs a heart tree doesn't it? A place where everyone gathers together; a place for the leaders and elders to have study spaces and meetings; space for the record keeper/librarian/historian/story teller; and perhaps a few rooms for guests to the village who are not brave enough to sleep off the ground.
I tried to imagine what such a tree might look like... and this is what happened
Hope you can find a space in your worlds to put it to good use :-)
My translation of how the 4 levels might be used by the inhabitants:
Level 1 has a the great hall, some store rooms and some small bedrooms - perhaps to use as guest rooms. The great hall is a space big enough for the entire village to gather in, for meetings, dances, visiting traders, etc
Level 2 has a smaller hall with a couple of alcoves and lots of cosy rugs and cushions to sit on - I imagine this might be a place for stories and music and crafting that does not make much mess.... A warm cosy place to gather on cold winter evenings.
Level 3 has some offices and meeting areas that I imagine would be the territory of the village council/elders - this is the administrative hub of the village.
Level 4 is the realm of the record keeper, along with a small library and study area. There is also a small branch-sleeping-hut out on the lowest limb, perhaps for folk here to visit the record keeper.
At the center of each level is a large glowing flower-like object that never dims unless someone attempts to remove it from the heart of the tree.
