Whether you are adventuring in the frozen tundra or surviving the cold night, you must be on your guard. The weather isn’t the only thing trying to kill you.

The white fox stared at the snow 2 feet in front of it, its sensitive ears straining to pick up the sound of the lemmings below. It could hear them now, getting closer. The little beasts were working away digging their tunnels beneath. For the fox this had been an especially hungry season, it could hardly wait to pounce and dive head-first under the frost to catch a tasty morsel. Little that it knew, it was being watched.
Ikiaq held her breath as she took aim with her bow. Her small target in her sights. Soon, the huntress knew the fox would jump and dive to catch its prey. It would have its long slender nose stuck in the ice for a couple of seconds, the perfect time to take a shot at it. She almost felt sorry for the poor animal, she knew that life is cruel in the arctic, there is no room for soft heartedness. The animal’s fur would keep her little brother warm and its meat would feed the sled dogs, nothing would go to waste. One must do what they must to survive. She did not have to feel bad, the fox's spirit will be properly honored after all. As she contemplated this a harsh wind blew. It carried the scent of the hunter and something else with it. The fox was spooked. Instead of diving, it ran. Desperate to not allow her quarry to get away Ikiaq loosed an arrow but did not hit her target. Disappointed she finally exhaled and took a breath through her nose. Then she smelled it too. The northerly wind carried with it the unmistakable foul smell of a Yeti.

The arctic is beautiful to behold. It is strange to think that a place so cold can still breed life. But just as it is a bizarre place where some creatures thrive it also holds dangers, there are many ways that it can also bring death to an inexperienced party. In this token set I have decided to give you the tools to create an arctic encounter which includes things such as:

This token pack is part one of what I hope to become a new series just like my Jungle tokens. You can combine it with any of my previous token packs to make something unique and awesome for your players to experience.
