40x40 battle map of a Merchant's guild, plus Creator kit
including an additional alternative room layout in the creator kit
This is another location from my Trinpari City Map - it can be found immediately to the East of the main market square.
Obviously, you can use it anywhere you like, I just used the Trinpari location as inspiration : )
I made the furnished map up as a small merchant's guild, with a great hall, a small 'bank', library, kitchens, and offices and places to meet traders and customers for merchants at different levels of prosperity.
The creators kit also contains an additional room layout created with a small school in mind ... however, the sky is the limit and I hope to hear about other uses that you have put it to... All the assets in the creators kit are geared towards being used in a guild or school type location, and there is nothing stopping you from re-purposing assets you already have to create something completely different
Files include the fully furnished day and night versions of the map as well as a creator kit. The Creator kit is designed with a base map and a shadows & walls overlay so that any assets added (regardless of where they come from) will still have wall shadows and light from the windows cast onto them. Or use the night overlay version and everything, assets included, will have a night time look.
Using the multi-layer creator kit..
* Layer 1 is a base map that is rather flat and not meant to be used by itself (Not going to stop you if you want to though : )
* Layer 2 is all the assets you want to place, either using the object clusters I created for this map, or other assets from else-wear
* Layer 3 is an overlay of the walls, doors and shadows (Day & Night versions)
* Layer 4&5 are the same as 2&3 but for the Great Hall mezzanine floor (Day & Night versions)
* Layer 6 are the roof tiles (day or night as relevant)
The Walls, doors & shadows overlay layer is what will make it really work... not only will the furniture assets have shadows and light from the windows & walls cast onto them, the asset drop shadows will not overlap the walls, and open doors will be above any rugs that are placed under them.
Hope you guys have fun with this one too...
