Road Through the Mountains Map Pack

Adventure through the mountain pass. Mean rocky terrain with pits and craters, barren and inhospitable to the passer by, excellent for your fantasy adventures. Nothing about these are particularly fantasy terrain, so you can use these in any war game in an outdoor setting.

Pick your Own Path: Assemble these to make more than 150 different rocky plateau battlemap combinations. Stack in Roll20, or in any raster image editing program.

6 rocky texture bases for you to populate. 26 dirt roads that fit over the texture bases. A few of them are washed out alternatives of a shape already available, suggesting perhaps that path is less travelled. Almost of the roads are fit onto a box shape that would fit over top of the included textures without resizing to fit. There is also a dead end, a little curve, and an oxbow which are not fit to the full square, which you could attach to jut out of any road. Not designed as modular roads to link up on the same map, these fit over top of the included bases (or any ground you choose).
3 lakes/ponds. 3 rivers/creeks. 3 lava flows. 2 orange lava crater plateaus. 2 mist overlays 1 shadowy cave mouth. 1 boulder for you to block paths or squash your party underneath. Rocks fall in treacherous mountain passes! 1 campfire. 2 different color versions of a jagged rock face outcropping, which was used to assemble some of the presets below, and can be used to indicate an impassible peak.

6 preset roads through the mountain in a style that can't be made with the asset pack. Some have cave entrances, and two of which have versions with rockfall traps triggered and untriggered. One has a shrine by a pool. 5 mountain pass presets without roads, with versions with the upper region in lighter rock, and versions with plain colored rock. Use them as is for difficult terrain with mountain peaks or crevasses in the way of movement, or add decorative elements from your other battlemap assets. Easy to dress up. Assemble your own variations with the included rock face section. Simply copy and paste it and move it around to create areas for your party to stand on a black canvas, representing their risk of a plummeting fall to death. 3 preset rocky plateaus with pools. 2 preset rocky ground with crevasses. 3 presets using the paths and water features available to you already, as an example of how it looks assembled.

All squares designed to be 20x20 five foot squares if you set the grid to 140x140 pixel grids. Scale up to 40x40 squares if you set it to a 70 pixel square. Depends on how tight you want the roads to feel.
