Whether you are role-playing in a grimdark sci-fi universe or a space-fantasy setting, these half-alien horrors hide in the darkest corners of civilization.
When we first detected the anomaly, we assumed it was nothing more than interstellar debris. As its size became apparent, we began calling it an exoplanet. We didn’t understand the danger. We wanted to document it, to classify it, to give it a name.
When it began to approach at impossible speed, the community lost its mind. The Federation urged caution and dispatched an exploratory fleet. None returned. Fear gripped the masses. Some fled, others prepared, many looted. It wouldn’t matter.
Even before the swarm arrived, panic and uprisings tore apart what little unity we had left. By the time the fanatics revealed themselves, our planet’s doom was already sealed. They had been here all along "messengers of the swarm", infiltrating the population, spreading disorder, sabotaging defenses, preparing us for slaughter in the name of their star gods.
The Intergalactic Swarm is a simple threat to understand. It spreads like a fire and consumes all in its path.
The Cult of the Hybrid, however, is something far more insidious.
Hybrid offspring of the star-spawned horrors lurk among ordinary men and women on inhabited worlds. These half-human abominations quietly undermine resistance, sabotage defenses, and prepare entire populations for the coming of the swarm. Whether they are religious fanatics, gene-spliced monstrosities, or psychic extensions of the devourers themselves, few know the truth. One thing is certain: they are more monster than man.
In this art pack you will find gene-hybrid children of the swarm, their more horrific brethren, and a few leaders who almost pass for human. You will also find their foul armaments, crude and unsettling just like their creators.
Thank you for taking interest in this token pack. Here are more villains for your games! Once again I bring you gross little freaks. I hope you enjoy looking at them. Each one is like my own child.
