Witch Woods

Hi everyone, and welcome to my Witch Woods map release! This 30x40 map features a spooky, dead forest with the ground covered by dried and dead foliage, and the tree branches twisting and writhing. In the center of this map is a massive rotted-out tree trunk with huge claw marks through the old bark to indicate something large and sinister might be skulking around the woods.

I also created a version which includes various witch symbols hanging from the tree branches (bones, twigs, feathers, etc) and petrified bodies that have been fused with the tree trunks. Maybe these are the victims of an ancient hag's curse?

Additionally, I have created a transparent version of this map so you can use it with the new top layer tile (I recommend setting this not to change to transparent since this is one large file to match the map width. This way, your tokens move under the tree branches.

Variants

I've created 6 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. Each variant contains various weather effects such as fog, rain, and sun rays, as well as a "no treetops" version of each color and a "no witch item" version. Additionally, there are transparent treetop files to match each color. The variants included in this pack are:

Dark Fairytale: This variant evokes a playful yet creepy atmosphere, with deep, darkened hues that bring out the rich colors of the map.
Sunny Day: A bright and cheerful version, focusing on a sunny and vibrant aesthetic to give a warm, inviting feel.
Ghostly: Bathed in an eerie green glow, this variant creates a haunted and spectral ambiance.
Gloom: This version tones down the map's colors, deepening the shadows to evoke a somber and moody environment.
Warm: A balanced mix of light and warmth, this variant enhances the map's vibrancy with rich, inviting colors.
Night: Illuminated by silvery moonlight, this version creates a serene yet mysterious nighttime setting.
