The Fragmented Dungeon - A Tile-Based Modular Handdrawn Battlemap Set with a Pseudo-Isometric view
Specifications
The idea behind this tileset is to create a series of tiles that can be connected to shape dozens of unique dungeon maps for your players. Each tile in a Fragmented Dungeon set will fit next to a tile in any other Fragmented Dungeon set making it possible to build an ever-growing combination of dungeons, ranging from small 3 (ex. a 60 by 180 feet) tile dungeons to massive 30 (ex. 300 by 250 feet) tile dungeons (the amount that is included in this single set).
Each tile is 12 by 12 inches with a 5 feet grid. The pack includes a version of each tile with and without a prerendered grid and both high-quality JPG's one could use for print and modified JPG's for a Virtual Table Top experience. There are also four PNG files included in the pack that can close of any of the 4 possible exits (north, east, south, and west) on any given tile.
Backstory
Each Fragmented Dungeon will be designed with a backstory in mind, one that if you use all the tiles in the set you can use to fuel an adventure with it in mind.
The story of this Fragmented Dungeon tells of an ancient relic that had at one point fallen into the hands of a civilization that lived under the mountain. They used it to advance their people far beyond all others, sharing none of the knowledge they found inside.
This was much to the dismay of neighboring nations, who grew envious watching them leap forward with such strides. It was the start of an endless barrage of assaults and sieges against the city under the mountain, not only waged by armies but also by powerful creatures who were drawn to the object's arcane aura.
When their advanced defenses finally began to falter and their enemies were about to breach the inner walls, the King decided to turn to the darkness in search for aid. A final move made in utter desperation, for he knew it would most likely be the end of him and his people. If he wasn't able to save them from the brink, he felt he might as well just take his foes down under with them.
The city was lost that day and what lurks inside, no one knows.
