The Mud Pit

Hidden deep within a gnarled stretch of forest, this secluded clearing centers around a wide, murky mud pit—its slick, clinging surface promising difficulty for even the most sure-footed adventurer. Rocky ridges to the east and north offer elevation for ranged advantage or dramatic entrances, while dense forest to the west provides natural cover for ambush predators or stealthy scouts.

A fallen tree lies partially submerged in the muck, with scattered stones and dead limbs breaking the surface, perfect for dynamic positioning in combat. Beneath the great oak on the northern ledge lies a hidden burrow entrance, ideal for a creature's lair, a secret tunnel, or a mysterious subterranean chamber.
