Description

This bundle pack includes grid and gridless 40 x 30 maps with day, night, strategic and greyscale variants. You can grab an animated version here. In the midst of high seas, perhaps following a rather supernatural storm, this tower rises up from the surface. Who knows how deep it delves beneath the waters, but on the apex of its four columns can be noted signs of battle. Two of its turrets have been blasted down, their remnants lying as a reminder of whatever attacked this place before. Although a flag still stands aloft on its pole, the rubble and general disrepair of this battlement suggests that it has not been inhabited for some time. However, on the docking platform on the surface of the tower, a dangerous plant-like creature appears to have taken up residence, its tentacles capable of unfurling and reaching up to the very top.

Encounter Hook

If the party finds itself sailing near this tower, despite this creature being very clearly evident on approach, the party might be enticed by the promise of as yet undiscovered treasures to plunder in the tower, or even more so by the flicker of a solitary light emanating from one of its window openings, from which also emerges a curiously green dust that then dissipates in the air. Has someone else taken up residence here? Are they in the midst of alchemical experimentation they would prefer to remain hidden? Is this plant-like creature one of the first results of these experiments? And what will happen if the party interrupts?...
