City Streets

Back on the cobblestones of Cellworth Street you inquire about the dark dealings and insidious happenings in the neighbourhood. No dice for your investigation so far but you learnt that the morning market was a good place to mngle with the populace and, perhaps, make some progress on your investigation. The street is opaque with fog and smoke, the air is dampened by the recent rain. Merchants shout and gesticulate as onlookers gaze briefly on the saturated stalls. Shady individuals are moving about amidst the crowd, performing strange gestures and mimicks at each others. From time to time, the local militia eye you curiously with unfriendly intent. You can feel it : this day is going to be exhausting.

Day — The hubbub of the crowd fills your ears. Merchants yelling over each other to attract customers, distant conversations and laughs, the noise of a nearby commotion in an adjacent street... It all melds together in a confusing brouhaha. Finding your suspect in the middle of that won't be an easy task !
Night of the crime — The mantle of darkness fell on the now silent streets. It is the time for secrets... and dark deeds.
Dawn — To the east, a radiating sun pierces the clouds shifting above the town's spires.
Morning — A cold breeze penetrates your cloak as a timid sun distantly shines over the wet cobblestones.
Rainy — You slowly advance through the street, carefully avoiding the mud and puddles while you shift between the passersby, huddling together in search of any kind of protection against the rain and wind.
Dusk — To the west, the sun slowly descends behind the tall buildings. Night approaches !
Dark dealing — The cloudy sky obscures the sun, making the streets appear gray and lifeless.
Intoxication — A sickening cloud passed above the city, masking the sun and projecting a nefarious aura over the street.
Unhealthy clouds — A bluish, noxious haze invades the street, shading the facades in strange colors. Something is amiss !
Nightmarish evasion — Under the red sky, a silhouette shuffles from rooftop to rooftop, barely lit by the blood moon and the stars above. Who could that be ?
