Coastal Magic Shop

Hi everyone, and welcome to my Coastal Magic Shop map release! This 20x20 map features a unique magic shop in a coastal setting with many unique features. There are three maps total in this pack: the 1st floor, the 2nd floor, and the roof levels, and each one contains many unique and fun features to add to your game.

The eccentric owner of this shop seems to have the means to procure any manner of rare or exotic magic item. How they are able to do so is better left unasked.

The fun and unique features you'll find on this map are:

Roof / Outdoor: As your players approach the sandy walkway with hanging braziers, they spot a two-story tall house raised on wooden stilts staked into the soft ground. The first thing that jumps out is the roof made entirely of sea shells and the grisly trophies on display around this unsettling shop. It is said the owner can obtain or buy magic items of all types here through mysterious means.

1st Floor: Through the front doors, you will be met with the shop owner and all manner of strange and exotic magic items and trinkets. Behind the beaded curtains, you can smell the scent of hookah and see a door leading further into the home. Behind this door, you will find a shipping office where all transportation business is conducted with the local port, a lounge with a massive Kraken-carved fireplace, and a set of stairs leading up to the living quarters above.

2nd Floor: A seemingly innocuous kitchen area leads to the master bedroom, closet and storage space, bathroom, and privy. However, a seemingly innocent door to the south of the building leads to a large altar with flickering candles and an imposing statue of a gruesome figure. Here, there seem to be dark rituals conducted and the worship of dark and strange gods by the owner of the shop. Perhaps this is the source of their abilities to procure magic items, but these matters are better left unasked.

Variants

I've created 8 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. Each variant contains various weather effects such as fog, rain, and sun rays. The variants included in this pack are:

Dark Fairytale: This version has a playful yet creepy feel to it, focusing on darkening up the map while bringing out the deep colors.
Sunny Day: A brighter version of the map focusing on a sunny and vibrant feeling.
Ghostly: An eerie green glow creates a haunted and ghostly feeling.
Gloom: This version focuses on toning down the map's colors and deepening the shadows.
Overcast: Toning down the colors and creating a grey and moody feel hints at looming rain clouds above.
Warm: This version is a good mix of light and warmth and focuses on the vibrancy of the colors used.
Night: The silvery moonlight twinkles over this map, creating a dark moonlight feel.
Verdant: For a more overgrown and wild feeling, this variant focuses on the lush greenery and vibrancy of the surrounding area.
