Hi everyone, and welcome to my Tar Pits map release! This 40x30 map is an hommage to the very tar pits I live next to and do my daily walks through; The La Brea Tar Pits.

I created this map to supplement your games with a hazardous encounter with sticky tar and the possibility of horrible creatures hiding under the bubbling goo.

Variants

I've created 8 different variants to help you set the perfect mood for your encounters. All variants below come with fog and rain versions. The variants included in this pack are:

Dark Fairytale: This version has a playful yet creepy feel to it. Perfect for any dark fantasy themes.
Bright: A brighter version of the map focusing on a sunny and vibrant feeling.
Ghostly: An eerie green glow creates a haunted and ghostly feeling, perfect for any Dark Fantasy campaign.
Gloom: This version focuses on toning down the map's colors and deepening the shadows. Perfect for any dark fantasy encounter!
Dead: A mix of dead grass with a slight hint of red creates a stark contrast to the bubbling black tar within the pools.
Warm: This version is a good mix of light and warmth and focuses on the vibrancy of the colors used.
Night: The silvery moonlight twinkles over this map with the reflection of the moon in on the black gooey surface.
