"After facing the labyrinth of halls, we had finally arrived at the first of the three antechambers, each with their own challenges, leading to his throne. All concept of time had slipped from each of us by now after what certainly must have been an eternity in that maze leading to the throne room, and we found ourselves again at an impasse.

A massive door leading to the first of the three antechambers lay before us. Alas, it was anchored in place, and to our dismay the mechanisms secrets eluded us. Perhaps if we hadn't lost Renault, his cunning skills could have disarmed the latches. If only he hadn't fallen so soon, falling victim to shifting architecture as his maze bended to his will...

It was an error of judgement to slip into the cracks in the walls into the tunnels behind. In my desperation, I mistook the squalid breaches in the architecture for neglect of his domain, an area beyond the Prince of the Endless Maze's purview, perhaps a shortcut to his great hall. If only fortune had shined on us in just a few of those darkest moments, perhaps we wouldn't have fallen prey to our current circumstance, hunted within this warren of side tunnels and caves. In this darkness, I realize the extent of my folly. We are doomed to perish by starvation or at the hands of his followers, for we are ever trapped in his game."
