There is a theory that dragons were sent to earth to punish man for our sins. The greatest argument in favor of this theory undoubtedly was Farhar The Avatar of Greed. This great beast was much larger and more powerful than the creatures that I classified as ancient dragons. Its greed was allconsuming to the point that it used powerful magic to transform its body into a vault of sorts. Instead of creating a horde and protecting it Farhar ate every last coin and jewel that it saw. It carried all of his treasures inside of its body which in the end became its own undoing.
