With another flash of raw arcane energy the cavern is illuminated once more, the rampant degradation of the inscribed pillar increasing with every blast. This structure which has lasted centuries, performing it’s cryptic purpose faithfully, is not long for this world, and looks likely to soon experience a catastrophic, incendiary cascade of failure.
The crystals around the cavern thrum with the built up charge in the air, glowing in an unearthly light, bringing further illumination to these deep caverns, and threatening a chain reaction of even greater destruction.
