Kraken class transports were originally designed as short-range fast supply ships. However, their powerful engines and modular systems made this ship highly sought after by smugglers, small mercenary groups, and other freelance l groups that needed a fast ship with some cargo capacity.
Kraken class transports are not perhaps the prettiest ships in the spaceport, but they are rugged, reliable, and spare parts are cheap and easy to come by.
