The stench seems to rise at a rate matching your descent as you climb down the ladder into the depths of the sewers. Flickering torchlight illuminates the filthy tunnels, revealing makeshift bridges of nailed planks spanning over the flowing wastewater. Barrels and crates are strewn about the rubble. Etched into the brickwork and scrawled across the walls in chalk and charcoal are signs of habitation.
