Long before the Living City comes into view, you will find fields of bio-mechanical thermal vents. The great city consumes a great deal of energy to support it's many inhabitants and it's constant regrowth, the byproducts of so much expenditure is exuded in steam vapour across the land. Travelling underground for miles the vents grow at locations far away, and throw their cargo high into the air.
