In the canopy above birds, primates and all manner of other creatures screech, scream and cry out in the endless battle for life that encompasses this subcontinent.
Ahead, in the middle of a rare clearing, the colossal structure of the temple rises into the trees, silhouetted against the sky the skull of an ancient civilisation's jaguar god can be seen surveying its land. Behind this deceased deity an immense fan of gold shines, luring the adventurers forward to claim its riches. As footsteps fall in the clearing a dark shape stirs in the shadows of the surrounding ruins...
Perhaps these lands are not as unguarded as they initially seemed...
