After being laid off from my job in 2012, I turned back to my hobby in digital art and began working furiously to develop it in to a true life skill set capable of keeping me afloat.
I started producing art for Roll20 in late 2012, and by early 2013 it had become a life line to keep my afloat until I was able to secure work as a software engineer.
I have identified as trans female since 2000, but only started transitioning my gender presentation from male to female in 2018. The work I've done with Roll20 has been crucial in helping me handle the costs associated with transitioning.
My long term hope is to eventually turn my art related work in to my primary occupation.
