"Captured and imprisoned by a brutal clan of harpies on a lifeless rock! Forced to do battle in a make-shift fighting pit against ravenous beasts and a variety of desperate NPC's. Will your players be able to plan and execute a successful escape from the black shoals? Or will they suffer a grizzly end on the bloodstained sands of the death pit?"
Harpy Death Pit is a 5e compatible adventure module aimed at low to mid-level parties of 3 to 5 players. It can be run as a one-shot but has enough content to accommodate multiple sessions if desired. With over two dozen different pit combatants and multiple methods of escape, no two playthroughs are quite the same, allowing for optimal replayability. The story, location, and enemies can easily fit into any fantasy campaign setting.
The adventure includes:
10+ unique battle maps detailing every inch of the black shoals.
50+ top-down style tokens including several multi-state tokens and a single animated one.
15+ illustrated resource cards that your players can acquire; featuring weapons, equipment, consumables, and more.
Fully integrated dynamic lighting and jukebox tracks to create the perfect mood for your adventure.
A dynamic story that can be modified to accommodate different party sizes, compositions, and experience levels.
Fully-statted NPC's with custom macro buttons to keep your game running smoothly.
Detailed journal entries and visual guides to assist both new and experienced dungeon masters.
Will your players form an alliance with their fellow prisoners? Or sow discord amongst their captors and attempt to start a coup? Will they create a distraction and fight their way out of the pit? Or attempt to sneak out under cover of darkness? How will they avoid the infernal bewitchment of the harpy's songs? Most importantly, once they have escaped the fighting pit and the natural granite bowl that houses it, by what means will they escape the black shoals themselves? The bird-women are quick to destroy any vessels that wash up on the rocks, but there are parts of the shoals where even they fear to tread...
Warning: This adventure contains themes of imprisonment and mind control, as well as mild nudity.
