Secure in the potency of their abilities, the power of their armaments, and their reputable stature, can adventurers still stoop to the defense of the proletariat? When the sins of ignorant peasants incur the stentorian wrath of the gods, will passing adventurers risk the exposure of their own sins to help? What is the price of such virtuous temerity, such unrequited selflessness? Can it be procured without proper payment, or is the nature of an adventurer necessarily rooted in self-serving pride?
Storm of the Wrathful Sepulcher provides a short, intense, and profound examination of such traits in a group of 3-6 adventurers of levels 14-16. Witnesses to a startlingly severe, angelic event in a pastoral backwater, the integrity of said adventurers is to be determined by how deeply they are willing to investigate those accused by warriors of the gods, and whether their interference will sway the course of events whatsoever. Belligerent NPC's, detailed maps, quirky cattle, and an open-ended setting primed for player mistakes provide DM's with all the ingredients necessary for a wild ride.
Storm of the Wrathful Sepulcher is designed to be smoothly fitted into an existing 5E campaign or setting, and should take 1-2 sessions (approx. 3-6 hours) to complete.
