Insectoid constructs are raiding the village of Timberborn — ransacking homes and destroying property. Many have been hurt, and one citizen has even been killed.

Though no one knows the true origins of these mechanical bugs, a few brave souls have attempted to follow them. The trail led to a monstrous tree, dark and old, twisted and scarred. A crack lies open along its trunk, revealing a bulbous eye. Bark lids blink around the eye, lined with teeth, reminiscent of a fly trap plant.

The village has gone into lockdown, the residents hastily barricading themselves in their homes as best they can. Trade that passes through Timberborn from Pine Loft to Dobberton has come to a halt.

After defeating the Rot Weaver, the party was appointed Silenus Shepherds, a team, hand-picked by the King to protect the forest. The king has asked the party to investigate why trade has stopped.

The Neverling is a Seeds of Decay quest, taking place in the Alwaysgreen Forest.

The Alwaysgreen Forest is a lush and beautiful land, full of ancient, towering trees; magical, life-giving waters; and deep crystal-lined caves. It is teeming with life and magic. The awakened woodkin, the majestic deeret, goblins, ratkind, dobbers of all traditions, and many more call it their home. Dobbers are the most populous. They are friends to the forest, belonging to it, and it to them as a leaf does to a tree.

The Alwaysgreen Forest is populated primarily by tiny creatures and the Dobbers are tiny people. They are often described as three apples tall, though in truth, they are taller. They range between 14 inches and 2 feet tall. While the Dobbers are tiny, there is nothing explicit in this adventure that would prevent you from adapting it to your favorite setting.
