Dungeon Vault One-Shots Vol. 6 contains eight 5e-adventure locations for three to six characters from 1st to 5th level. These adventures can easily be placed in any campaign setting. They aren't linear and have no correlation between them. They're meant to be played as independent one-shots that take no longer than three to four hours.
The following list contains the titles of the eight short adventures included in this product:
1. Val's Underground Gardens (Level 3) - The heroes on the rise hear of a reclusive botanist who provides mighty herbal cures and has a knack for strange plant-like lifeforms. Val, the botanist, created a device that empowers her underground gardens. However, the energy source of this apparatus is morally bankrupt at best... The characters explore Val's underground compound and find it to be a crawling nest of strange creatures, enlarged animals, and deadly traps. They soon discover that Val is currently occupied trying to soothe or appease her grandest creation: a mélange plant-life abomination that refuses to submit to her commands.
2. The Planar Gateway (Level 3) - A group of characters hears of a device that is capable of opening a portal to other planes of existence. An elvish mage managed this portal until decades ago when he disappeared and the portal was decommissioned. When the heroes arrive, they encounter a decrepit compound and an unstable portal apparatus. They must find out how it works. Once they do, they are sure to learn why the elf mage closed it off...
3. The Eye of the Lost (Level 1) - A strange cult has risen near small settlements. It seems they found an antique relic in a cavern and became cult followers of a gemstone that speaks right into their minds. When the characters arrive, they encounter tendrils of limestone that converge on the gemstone. The scene eludes an explanation. One thing becomes clear, this gemstone is somehow connected with the two missing deities that exist only in myths and passed-down rumors. Many a scholar would pay dearly to know about the events that occur in the cave or to hear of the strange visions that The Eye of the Lost causes on the people that are close to it when active.
4. Chasm of Fireflies (Level 1) - The characters hear of a strange underground compound where a lightbug-lit chasm is a place for local pilgrimages and offerings. When the characters arrive, they quickly find out the fate of the four farmers who went there a few days ago. The two-story compound features valuable information, a tribe of goblins, and a magical apparatus that may be used to cross the veil of worlds and reach the Woodlands Realm, the place of magical faeries.
5. Heart of Flames (Level 2) - The characters seek a fabled dwarvish artifact known as the Heart of Flames. The exact powers of this item are not well documented, only the tales of flaming hearts and great powers. The heart, anticipating a new era of adventures has grown impatient, causing earthquakes that worry the locals. Will the heroes be strong and resilient enough to survive the crypt's challenges?
6. The Demon Door (Level 3) - The characters come to Hoban City and learn about the demons coming out of a clearing in the woods that are finding their way to the city. Last time, many guards perished defending the townsfolk... The characters are hired to get rid of all threats and find a way to stop the demons from coming. The characters may be tempted to cross and enter the Abyss...
7. Ossuary of Lady Maria (Level 5) - The characters hear of a strange sepulcher where an ancient, ruthless ruler is interred. Her remains and her fabled sword were spread across several chambers with magical wards in place to prevent meddling and the revivification or reanimation of the feared Lady Maria Ornatt. When the characters arrive, they soon encounter deadly traps and merciless undead guardians. There are even non-hostile spirits that beg them to stop their attempts at plundering this tomb. Claiming the rewards are not worth the danger of releasing the evil woman's spirit from her seemingly eternal imprisonment.
8. Exorcism at the Mill (Level 5) - The characters learn that Vance, the miller, has not been seen for a few days and that the ground grain shipments have stopped. Some people also mention that Vance has apprenticed with the crown's wizard for a few years, though all they have seen come from it are a few impressive parlor tricks. When the characters arrive, they soon find that things have gone amiss in the mill. Vance attempted some form of advanced evil magic that turned against him and his family. The characters shall soon find the terrible fate of Vance's family and the aftermath of his perilous incantation.
