Background

Centuries ago, an enigmatic dwarven settlement emerged in the mountains, the very source of the Eternal River. Legends whispered of their discovery: a dark mineral hidden within the depths, capable of enhancing weapons and armor with unparalleled magical might when combined with other metals.

However, their prosperity waned as tales spread of the mineral's corrupting influence. The dwarves grew withdrawn and moody, their minds clouded. Whispers of gruesome mutations afflicted those exposed to its touch echoed through the valley.

Yet, all faded into oblivion with a cataclysmic blast that decimated the settlement, burying its secrets beneath the wreckage. The recipe for this arcane alloy, coveted by many for its extraordinary powers, remained lost, shrouded in mystery throughout the passing years.
