Lost in space! Disoriented and confused, the characters awaken aboard a bizarre alien vessel, with no memory of how or why they came to be there. Unbeknownst to them, they have found themselves in the bowels of a thought-eater voidship, a gigantic war-vessel designed to travel the starry gulf of the Astral Sea.
The characters find their bearings and embark upon a desperate voyage across the Astral Sea, seeking an answer to the mystery of how they have found themselves in this far-off plane, and a way to escape back to their home world. The answers they seek, however, will drive them into conflict with the thought-eaters, psionic monstrosities that wage a constant war of domination against the disparate denizens of the Astral Sea.
Astral Voyage can be run as a single adventure, or Part IV in the Hoard of Ghaundal campaign, an overarching story-arc that spans across 6 smaller adventures.
This adventure is designed for four to five 7th-level characters.
