A Night Inn is a 5th Edition adventure created for 4 characters of level 5-7. This adventure is campaign setting neutral and can easily take place in any fantasy world.

What's going on?

The Tavern has a reputation in this area. It serves as a place to meet up, get a drink, and stay an evening. The clientele is discrete, and the combination of dark, windowless rooms and sturdy doors assures privacy.

Unfortunately, a devil-worshipping cult has moved in. Without prying eyes to catch its rituals, the group has run unchecked. The owner operator, staff, and influential people in the area have all fallen into the cult’s sway. The cult has been convening at this tavern over the last few weeks to commune with dark fiends and prepare for a summoning. The cellar has been extended and converted into a cult headquarters and torture chamber for ritually sacrificing visitors.

The time is right for a Gate to Hell to be thrown open, and the Chain Devil ‘Razimon’ to be summoned from the depths. The head cultist has prepared the appropriate sacrifices and begun the ritual to open the Gate. The Chain Devil so far promises to be a mixed blessing at best. While the ritual is so far successful, the cultist now finds himself face to face with a devil that is turning its torturous nature against the cultists and intends to stay.

An Imp Trickster has been left to keep an eye on things upstairs and ensure that the ritual ceremony is not interrupted. The influx of fiendish energy has infused the Imp with greater powers, and it uses them to hamper anyone foolish enough to enter the Tavern.
