Are you the kind of Game Master who enjoys building your own wizard's maze, monster lair, or a long-lost temple ruin? The Dungeon Map Tiles art pack is the foundation art pack of the Studio WyldFurr series of Map Tiles art packs. The package contains the basic floor tiles, walls, passageways, doorways, external walls, castle walls, and a basic range of outdoor map tiles. There are also flooded map tiles, split-level tiles, and special feature map tiles such as pit traps and levers.
All of Studio WyldFurr's other Map Tiles packs expand on this “basic set” of adventure map building art assets, spawning map-building art packages such as the Sci-fi Map Tiles pack, the Cave Map Tiles pack, and the expansion Dungeon Map Tiles packages II, III, IV, V, and VI.
Map Tile Artwork
Each dungeon map tile is a combination of photographic source material and hand-drawn artwork that gives us the unique style of all Studio WyldFurr Maps. All of the tiles have been rendered from a bird's-eye view of the landscape, with shadowing used to give the illusion of depth.
Map Tile Scale
Our range of digital role-playing tokens and map tiles all use a standard scale of one real-world inch to three on-screen pixels. For a standard map grid square size of 180-pixels.
Adventure Map Building Method
The map tiles were first designed to give depth and texture to traditional D&D-style adventure maps. To create a map, start with a blank canvas, set your map grid to a scale of 180 pixels per every 5ft grid square, then just drag-n-drop in each art asset onto the map canvas to build up a map, block by block.
