Maps

• Beast's Lair. A large cave section tucked away behind a thick copse of trees, this cavern is deliberately broken into several sections using thick hanging walls of ivy that conceal consecutively deeper chambers, allowing you to choose how complex a cave network it is. Are your players simply hunting a wolf that has snatched the local Gnome artisan, or is there a small pack of Owlbears that have made their nests throughout the twisting cavern? A Day/Night variant is included.
• Rapid River. A wide, shallow, yet potentially deadly set of rapids span a woodland river bank. Dotted throughout the waters are several small rocky outcrops where debris has lodged, including carrion, fallen trees, and even lost treasure. Will your characters have to test their acrobatics in making it across the islands? Or do they need to prove themselves against the champion who patrols these waters? A Day/Night variant is included.
• Fungal Forest. A strange fungal growth has started to spread uncontrollably throughout these woods. Though the Queen's forces have attempted to contain it behind a blockade, they were unsuccessful and now waxy red mushrooms now spread at an alarming rate throughout the trees. How much woodland will be consumed by the fungal blight before a solution can be found? A Day/Night variant is included.
• Goblin Camp. This map brings you a 'classic' goblin stronghold - a crudely assembled palisade and shameful mess of a camp, hastily thrown together around an older stone structure. Tattered lookout towers give the goblins (or bandits, you're the DM!) an advantage when trying to spot approaching groups. Inside the cave to the southeast, a series of pits full of spikes gives the leadership of the camp some creative and barbaric ways to dispose of intruders. A Day/Night variant is included.
• Midsommar Madness. This map portrays the beautiful site of an imminent wedding, feast, or other woodland celebration; two tents set aside for the bride and groom, lavish feast tables and enchanted rivers surround an altar and portal, ostensibly to a god of nature. However, the night variant reveals a different tale! Bunting burns, the animals lie slaughtered, and the rivers run red. Worst of all the portal now glows with fire, and demonic tendrils can be seen reaching out! A Day/Night variant is included, as well as night variants with/without the demonic tendrils reaching from the portal.
• Down by the River (by the river... by the river...). For this map we've revisited the concept of a player campsite, which we originally touched on with our 'River Camp' all the way back in Forest Wilderness, the third theme we ever did at The MAD Cartographer! This map is a higher quality, slightly larger version of a campsite, using our modern canopy features for the surrounding tree. Inspired by games such as Baldur's Gate 3, we wanted to provide a campsite that can grow and reflect your players during the adventure. For this reason, we've produced a low and high level version of each camp; the lower is bedrolls and small tents, whereas the larger version has complex, class-style tents to represent your players! Variants are included for Day/Night, as well as Low/High level.
• Druid Grove. A secluded grove, tucked away deep in the forest. This provides a place of tranquility and reflection for druids; or perhaps a place where they keep their most dangerous idols of power! A Day/Night variant is included.
• Hag's Teahouse. A ramshackle wooden cottage lingering where the forest meets the swamp, this fetid teahouse is unsurprisingly almost certainly inhabited by a hag or witch. Her neglected pumpkin crops rot away outside, whilst the interior is filled with the trappings of a tea house, littered with other arcane oddities. Variants are included for Day/Night, as well as Interior/Exterior.
